Hello, my name is Darren Dobson, I am a drawing and painting major at the University of North Texas. With this piece, I wanted to show how a person isn't just a first impression. Humans are complex and experience many different emotions. I wanted to recreate the complexities of humanity by creating an image that represents the many different faces a person might have and present to others. The center face represents beauty and what a person wants the world to see. The faces to the side have a much more uncertain and undefined expression helping me create the idea that there is more to a person than we are being shown.
